Usage & Interaction Data
We automatically collect information about how you use CoHabby, including profiles viewed, synergy scores unlocked, listings saved, messages exchanged, and searches performed.
Device & Technical Information
We collect device type, operating system, app version, unique device identifiers, and general location data to provide and improve our services.
Payment Information
If you subscribe to premium features, payment processing is handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not directly store your credit card or payment details.

With Other Users
Your profile information, photos, and compatibility details are visible to other CoHabby users based on your privacy settings and matching criteria. You control what's visible in your profile.

We work with trusted third parties for hosting (Google Cloud/Firebase), analytics, image processing, and customer support. These providers only access data necessary to perform their services.
Legal Requirements

6. Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Age Requirement
CoHabby is designed for adults seeking housing. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
8. Location Data
CoHabby uses location data to show you relevant listings and potential housemates in your preferred areas. You can manage location permissions through your device settings. The app functions with limited features if location access is denied.
9. Advertising, Analytics & Third-Party Tracking
We use third-party advertising and analytics tools to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns, understand how users discover CoHabby, and improve our ad targeting. These tools may place cookies or use similar tracking technologies on our website and in our app.
TikTok
We use TikTok's marketing tools, including the TikTok Pixel and Events API, to measure ad performance, attribute app installs and conversions, and build audiences for ad targeting on the TikTok platform. When you visit our website or interact with our ads, TikTok may collect:
- Page view and interaction events (pages visited, buttons clicked, time on page)
- Device and browser information (device type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution)

CoHabby's services are hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure in the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
When we share data with third-party advertising partners, including TikTok, that data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. We rely on our partners' data protection commitments and standard contractual clauses where applicable to safeguard international data transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of CoHabby after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
